ARTIST DIALOGS at the Wiener Festwochen

A drama project in the scope of "Survival Strategies", Wiener Festwochen

Ulrich Seidl made interviews about pictures of Francis Bacon. The interviewees were no art experts but ordinary Austrian people who are interessted in art. He used their views on a Francis Bacon painting as a way into a dialogue. The situation was located behind the curtains and was presented to the audience via video transmission.

Within the interpretation of the paintings, Ulrich Seidl's guests (pe Rene Rupnik from "The bosomfriend" or Waltraute Bartel from "Jesus you know") got room for personal associations which allowed conclusions about the observer: art as a reflection of our inner and outer reality.
